Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), the electric two-wheeler manufacturing unit of engineering form Greaves Cotton Limited, on Tuesday announced the launch of its high-performance family electric scooter, Ampere Nexus.

Designed, developed and manufactured entirely in-house at the GEMPL facility in Bangalore, Ampere Nexus features several innovative and class-leading features.

Priced at Rs1,09,900 for the base model, the Ampere Nexus is offered  in four coloures - Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey. 

The scooter boasts of high-performance and family-focused features that offer both comfort and safety to riders. Ampree Nexes is equipped with several class-leading features such as:

  • Hybrid swing arm with twin suspension
  • Aerodynamics with unique air-cool architecture
  • Stronger chassis with a load-stratified design 
  • Seven inch touchscreen with SmartSense technology and faster booting
  • Safer LFP battery with 1.3 times more cycle life and charging time of 3 hr 22 mins
  • Diamond cut headlamps and Arctic Tern-inspired taillamps
  • Large seat with crafted lightweight aluminium grab handle
  • A top speed of 93 kmph with five riding modes and 136 km certified range
  • Seamless design without visible nuts and bolts

For Greaves Electric Mobility, which has been lagging behind with poor demand for its Ampere scooters, the high-performance family scooter with advanced features, the Ampere Nexus reignites hope of a new beginning.

The Ampere Nexus boasts of a 3 kWh LFP battery with 30 per cent extra battery life and a powerful mid-mount drive, delivers 4 kW peak motor power. 

With five riding modes, front disc brakes and an IP67 rating, the Ampere Nexus can navigate all terrains, including flooded conditions.

The scooter also validated all its claims during its 10,000-km Kashmir to Kanyakumari ride, ensuring both performance and efficiency with a top speed of 93 kmph and a range of 136 km per charge.
