Last week, Motorola gave a sneak peek of the Moto G84 on Flipkart, and today, the company officially unveiled this mid-range smartphone in India. While sporting the somewhat dated Snapdragon 695 chipset with 5G support, it manages to offer an attractive package for its price.

At the forefront is a 6.55-inch 10-bit OLED display boasting a 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Motorola guarantees a peak brightness of 1,300 nits for this display. Positioned in the center is a single punch hole housing a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.
Compared to its predecessor, the Moto G82, the G84 features two rear cameras instead of three. The primary camera boasts a 50-MP 1/1.5" sensor with a pixel size of 1.0µm and an f/1.88 lens. It comes equipped with dual PDAF (phase detection auto focus) and OIS (optical image stabilization).
Adjacent to it is an 8-MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 118-degree field of view, though it lacks autofocus. Both cameras support 4K video recording at 30 fps and come with Auto Night Vision for improved low-light photography.
Enhancing the audio experience, the Moto G84 includes Dolby Atmos support and Moto Spatial Sound, delivering excellent sound quality through its stereo speakers.
Running on Android 13, this smartphone is promised an update to Android 14 and three years of security updates. Powering the device is a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging, and Motorola includes the adapter in the retail package. Additionally, it boasts features like Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a dual SIM slot for two nanocards.
Continuing their partnership with Pantone, Motorola launched the phone in a delightful Viva Magenta colour, featuring a faux leather panel. There's also a Marshmallow Blue colour option, which, despite being labeled as vegan leather, is actually a fancy PVC coating. For those who prefer a more understated design, the midnight blue variant is also available.
The Moto G84 offers a single memory configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, priced at INR 19,999 ($245 or €222). It will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting September 8th.
