Murali Sivaraman to succeed K Ramachandran at Philips in October 2007

Philips India has announced that. Murali Sivaraman will join the company on 2 July, 2007, as CEO designate, Indian subcontinent, and will succeed K Ramachandran who is due to retire in early October this year. Mr Ramachandran joined Philips in 1993.

Sivaraman, a cost and works accountant, a chartered accountant, with a post graduate degree in business management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and an advanced management programme from Harvard Business School, was earlier with ICI UK.

He will also be appointed to the Philips Electronics India Ltd. (PEIL) board of directors and take over from K Ramachandran in October 2007 as Managing Director, subject to the approval of PEIL's shareholders.
