Suzuki Hayabusa Z limited edition now available in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of its superbike, the 'Suzuki Hayabusa Z' in a limited edition on Indian shores. Priced at Rs16,20,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), the latest Hayabusa series sports bike would be available for a limited period for Rs17.7 lakh on-road customstoday.com.pk reported.

The Japanese Hayabusa couples unparalleled manoeuvrability with massive thrust. The vehicle gives a smooth-as-silk ride not only on city streets but also on highways. Available in blue-silver (ASU) and white-silver (ARA), the Hayabusa Z features a trapezoidal design and features ABS and Brembo Monobloc front brake calipers. The various features and tech specs on the new Hayabusa Z that make it special are:
 
A Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system for selecting any of the three engine control maps; and

Forged three-ring aluminum-alloy slipper pistons to provide superior strength and a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) system.

The Hayabusa 4-Stroke, 4-Cylinder, Liquid-cooled, DOHC engine comes with tapered, 44 mm double-barrel Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) throttle bodies, with two butterfly valves in each barrel. The piston diameters are enlarged from 32-30mm to 32-32mm and the new Antilock Brake System (ABS) unit features a lightweight, compact design.

Meanwhile, Business Standard reported that the limited edition would benefit from the legendary Yoshimura exhaust Yoshimura SlipOn R-77J Carbon End Exhaust. Hayabuza Z would be offered in two colors - the pearl vigor blue/metallic mystic silver (ASU) and pearl bracing white/metallic mystic silver (ARA).
 
Biking aficionados would know what the Yoshimura Slip-on could give the superbike that defining competitive edge. The bike comes in a trapezoidal design, which allows a large volume of packing material and delivers top performance. The R-77 muffler's front cap was MIG-welded, and the end cap was riveted, using high-end 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands.
 
The Hayabusa Z would carry a price tag of Rs16,20,000 (ex-showroom price, Delhi) which was only Rs25,000 higher than the regular model, as a special and limited period offer. The on-road price of this bike in Delhi is around Rs17.7 lakh. The Hayabusa Z customers would additionally receive special gifts on purchase of the motorcycle, including a scale model (1:48) of the legendary Yoshimura Hayabusa X1 and a racing calendar acknowledging the bikers passion.
 
According to Atul Gupta, executive vice president, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), The Yoshimura SlipOn R-77J Carbon End Exhaust addition to the legendary Hayabusa was a modification that had been on the wish list of Indian biking aficionados for a long time.
