Sony launches touch-screen Walkman at CES

OLED TV, first launched at CES 2008, signalled the dawn of a new era in power saving and we've got more of the same this time around.
At this year's show, Sony has launched its beautiful new MP3 player, the NWZ-X1000, sporting a 3-inch OLED touch screen. OLED's chief benefits are brighter, more bountiful colours and, as is crucial for mobile devices, less power consumption than the all too familiar LED displays.
The X1000 comes in 2 storage sizes - 16 and 32GB, and both feature Wi-Fi and noise-cancellation technology.
As well as being fully touch screen, there are a number of pocket-friendly buttons on the base and sides - something sadly lacking on the biggie of them all - the iPod Touch.
There's no word on pricing at the moment, but let's hope that Sony gets its price right this time around and really give Apple a run for their money.
