Germany's supercar onslaught continues with the ultimate super-speed car, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, launched in India. The most powerful road-going Porsche ever, it carries a price tag of Rs1.5 crore; and with a limited edition of just 500 cars being launched worldwide, you might not be able to get one even if you can afford it.

The GT2 RS is a much lighter, faster, and scarier version of the 911 turbo, stripped down to the core to save weight, finely tuned to pump out 620 bhp.

It has carbon bodywork, with huge splitters, spoilers, and a mighty wing at the rear to keep the car on the road. It is being called a 'widow-maker' by awed enthusiasts around the world.

Driver aids have been minimised, and the body trimmed down to give a weight of just 3,021 pounds – ultra light by car standards. The interior is also slim and trim, with a roll cage, carbon fibre seats and dashboard. This car is claimed to do the 'usual' Nurburgring lap in 7 minute 18 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars around.

The twin turbocharged boxer 3.6 litre flat six engine, with a six-speed manual gearbox, can propel this rocket to 100 kph in 3.5 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 330 kph, but experts say it could do even more if driven on a race track.

If you're wondering whether such a car is street legal, the company will ensure that the car have all legal sanctions cleared wherever it is sold.

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is available in various colours with Atlantic furniture and an interior in black all over with red lining. The aero dynamic features ensure stability and a smooth ride, and the suspension system is strongly controlled.

All in all, the car is a truly mouth-watering proposition that should be the envy of all those who can't have it.
