Hikal announces 65-per cent dividend

Mumbai: Hikal Ltd has announced the final dividend of 65 per cent (including an interim dividend of 20 per cent) for the financial year ended 31 March 2002. In that period, the company registered an increased turnover of Rs 115.04 crore as against Rs 103.46 crore in the last fiscal, reflecting a significant growth of 11 per cent.

Hikal has posted a net profit of Rs 19.87 crore for the year as compared to Rs 18.14 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, reflecting a growth of 10 per cent.

The company registered a significant growth in the fourth quarter with a turnover of Rs 37.93 crore as compared to Rs 30.85 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, which represents a 23-per cent increase.

 The net profit for the fourth quarter zoomed by 32 per cent to Rs 6.78 crore as compared to Rs 5.13 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
